FAQ

Silent Karaoke is karaoke delivered through wireless headphones instead of loudspeakers. Each guest hears the music and microphones through their headset, making it perfect for late-night or shared spaces.
Packages range from 10 to 200+ headsets. We can scale systems to match any venue size, from small apartments to large corporate events.
Our headsets run for about eight to ten hours on a full charge, which comfortably covers most events. Charging takes roughly three hours.

Yes. The system supports three separate channels, so you can run karaoke on one, a DJ playlist on another, and even a movie audio feed on the third.

There is no hard limit on the number of headphones listening to a transmitter.

Each headset lights up in different colours to match the channel, so it is obvious which audio you are hearing at a glance.

Indoors you can expect up to about two hundred metres line of sight.

For larger or open spaces you can switch the transmitter to a high power mode that reaches four hundred metres or more line of sight.

Positioning the transmitter above head height will give best performance.

Other radio/wirelss systems can affect performance in some rooms, so we survey placement and channels during setup.

The manual notes that nearby RF sources may impact the wireless system, which is why we include on-site testing.

No. Silent karaoke does not require an internet connection for the headphones to operate.

The karaoke mixer, laptop/smartphone/tablet or sound desk are connected into the transmitter with standard left and right phono inputs. Power is a twelve volt one amp supply which we provide as part of the package.

Yes, for specific setups. The transmitter includes a mode intended for outdoor applications with an extended line of sight. We can advise on weather protection and positioning if you talk to us before at the time of requesting a quote/booking.
They use soft padded ear cushions and built-in volume control. As with any headphones, keep volumes sensible for long sessions.
If no signal is received, the headphones mute automatically after a short period, avoiding hiss or loud surprises.
Yes, we can provide portable power options for the player and transmitter where needed. The transmitter itself runs from a twelve volt one amp supply. Ask us for a battery pack if sockets are inconvenient.

Battery life is typically eight to ten hours per full charge. For marathons or multi-session days we can schedule a mid-event swap or provide a charging cradle on site.

Please speak to us about this at the time of quoting so we can advise of the best option.

Absolutely. With three channels available we regularly run karaoke on one channel and two music channels for a silent disco on the others.

Set up and test the equipment where it will be used for your event as soon as possible (ideally in office hours).

Mount the transmitter above head height and keep a clear line of sight to the audience.

If your event space is complex, we can add additional transmitters on different channels.
